CATARACT TREATMENT
Specialist in the treatment of Cataracts using an innovative measuring equipment (Swept Source Optical Coherence Tomography) to achieve precise eye measurements. Our innovative technology can assess and improve eye health, achieving the best possible outcomes for patients.

DIABETIC EYE DISEASE TREATMENT
This is a group of eye problems that can affect people who have diabetes. Conditions include diabetic retinopathy, diabetic macular edema, cataracts and glaucoma. Over time, diabetes can cause damage to the eyes, leading to poor vision or even blindness.

PTERYGIUM TREATMENT
Pterygium: A non cancerous red, fleshy growth arising from the conjunctiva, clear tissue covering the white of the eye, typically wedge shaped arising from the nasal side, and growing towards the centre of the cornea, clear window covering the front of the eye.
Caused by ultraviolet light exposure and causing irritation, burning and stinging, worse in windy conditions.
Dr. Young performs pterygium surgery with application of a conjunctival graft to prevent recurrence under local anaesthetic with sedation.

GLAUCOMA TREATMENT AND SURGERY
We use drops, tablets, lasers and surgery to treat glaucoma.

OCULOPLASTIC TREATMENT & SURGERY
Mid North Coast Eye Clinic provides oculoplastic treatment for droopy eyelids and eyebrows, eyelid malposition, eyelid cancers, globe cancers and watery eye. We use conventional surgery and the Ellman Radio Surgical process for oculoplastic surgery.

VITREOUS FLOATERS
MACULAR DEGENERATION TREATMENT
For wet age-related macular degeneration, we use optical coherence tomography and fluorescein angiography for diagnosis. We use intravitreal injections, lasers and Visudyne therapy for treatment.
